André Akinyele is the founder and owner of Ajamu, a pioneering software and gaming development company. Akinyele, the lead software engineer and developer, methodically develops software, gaming, and web applications within the company’s programming and special gaming products. Akinyele has developed numerous social media apps, websites, and gaming apps including Chicken Scratch™ and Primitive Aliens™. Akinyele began his career in Alexandria, Virginia working as an independent software engineer, developer, designer, and programmer, and in 2015 enrolled in the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) Master’s degree in Information Technology program where he studied modern software methodologies, relational database systems, software design implementation, software engineering, software requirements, software verification and validation, and usability engineering. In 2015, Akinyele founded Ajamu to develop, design, program, test, and modify secure gaming, software, and web applications on various platforms, including in the Cloud. As the owner, Akinyele has worked on projects, not only for the company but for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Paisley Park, Esperanza Spalding, Miles Davis Estate, and Mark of the Unicorn (MOTU). In 2017, Akinyele graduated with a Master of Science degree in Information Technology: Software Engineering from UMUC and is an honorary society member of Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE).
As an author, Akinyele authored the 5-Star rated book, 'So, What's the Big Deal About Scrum? A Methodology Handbook for Developers' (2019). André Akinyele is also a musician and recording artist for Orange River Records, an author for Orange River Books, and graphic designer with Akinyele Design Firm.
